What do you enjoy most about working in SEO/PPC?
I enjoy problem-solving and working with people, and SEO and PPC are a great combination of the two. I get the chance to put myself into the mindset of different people, identify their needs and requirements and produce content that works for them. Being part of the customer journey from the start is an exciting process. It also appeals to my techy side, as I get the chance to dip into the code that makes each page of a website tick and how all those things contribute to a good page ranking or PPC campaign.
What are you most looking forward to in your role?
Analysing the unique problems and specific requirements facing each client, and finding innovative and creative solutions to match them. I love that moment when I get to see the positive results of a PPC or SEO campaign, especially when they effect the bottom line for the client.
Let's get to know Adam on a personal level...
When you have 30 minutes of free-time, what do you do?
Read a book, watch a film or go for a run! Terry Pratchett is my all-time favourite author so I love reading books written by him - when I have a spare half an hour. I also love a good movie from almost any genre, but I'm a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy films. I also play football at the weekends, so a good 30 minute run during the week keeps me ticking over.
What's your dream holiday destination?
Anywhere that's all-inclusive, with a beautiful beach, warm water, and lots of sun! Maybe Bali?
What’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
After my family, probably sleep. I become increasingly grumpy without it and end up eating two peoples worth of food to compensate.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
I worked on the Warburton toll bridge when I was in school. It cost 10p for a single crossing or 25p for all-day...what a deal!
If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?
Astronaut, It's the only way I'd ever get into space!
