We are thrilled to announce the successful launch of Accord Hospice's new hapi site last month. Our journey with Accord began at the National Association of Hospice Fundraising (NAHF) event in 2019, where they were engaged by our energy and vision for digital transformation. With challenges from their previous supplier and a need for control over their website, Accord sought a partnership that would empower them and align with their evolving digital strategy.
The Project: An Overview
This project aimed to transition Accord to the new hapi platform, enhancing its digital infrastructure and operational efficiency. With a swift turnaround of just three months, our team at Dreamscape handled every aspect of the migration, ensuring a seamless go-live experience. This allowed the Accord team to remain focused on their vital work and confident in the support of a dedicated digital partner.
Empowering Accord with Enhanced Capabilities
Their upgraded hapi site provides Accord with complete control over the design and functionality of their digital presence and boasts several robust modules designed to meet Accord's diverse needs:
- Streamlined Event Management: Hapi's event suite allows Accord to manage all aspects of their events—ticketing, attendee details, stock, and more—without needing technical support. The event module now facilitates on-site bookings, offers extensive configuration options, includes an attendee reporting dashboard, supports group bookings and discounts, and accommodates paid and donation events with merchandise options.
- Online Shop Integration: The eCommerce module allows supporters to purchase items directly from their online shop. This module features an online shopping basket, discounts and promotions, sales reporting and analytics, delivery options management, event-related merchandise upselling, and stock management.
- Effective Stewardship: The email automation module allows Accord to deliver effective stewardship sequences efficiently without draining staff time. The functionality incorporates a marketing automation suite, personalisation, donor segmentation, a drag-and-drop email builder, post-transaction experiences, and timed or date-driven communications that are user-friendly and quick to set up.
- Design Freedom: Accord can now fully customise its site's look and feel, ensuring it aligns perfectly with its branding. From colours to navigation, calls to action to media, every aspect of their site can be updated directly from the hapi CMS with no need for developer involvement.
- Advanced Donation Campaigns: The platform supports multiple simultaneous appeals and enhanced donation capabilities, making it easier to run effective campaigns. Accord can set up numerous donation groups with recommended giving values, custom impact statements, and one-off or monthly configurations that can be used across any page on their new site.
- Secure Data Management: All site data is securely sent to the Integrations Manager and is ready to be exported as import-ready CSVs compatible with Accord's Raisers Edge Importomatic configuration.
- On-site Referrals: Accord has set up digital referrals on the website using custom forms to facilitate streamlined interactions with patients, families, and professionals who need urgent care or support.
Remarkable Early Results
In just one month since the launch, Accord has already experienced remarkable outcomes, instilling confidence in the effectiveness of the new platform:
- Gift Aid and Processing Fee: So far, 67% of their donations include both Gift Aid and processing fees, enhancing the overall value of each contribution.
- Event Launch: Their popular Firewalk event for 2025 has already begun taking bookings, highlighting the effectiveness of the new event management system.
Looking Ahead
Accord has a small team and limited resources, so the Raisers Edge integration and stewardship automation have freed up significant time and resources, allowing them to focus on their donors.
