As we look back on 2024, it’s clear that our mission to drive efficiency and impact for non-profits through digital innovation has delivered actual, measurable results. From faster site setups to improved supporter engagement, hapi and hapiLite have transformed how charities manage digital fundraising. Here are some key highlights of our journey this year and why they matter to the non-profit sector.
Empowering Charities with Faster and More Cost-Effective Solutions
One of the standout achievements on hapi has been reducing setup time for our platforms. On average, hapi sites were up and running in 10 weeks, while hapiLite sites took just 4 weeks, compared to the industry average of 26 weeks. This rapid deployment means charities can start fundraising and engaging with supporters sooner, maximising their impact without compromising on staff time investment into lengthy projects.
Beyond faster setups, we saved our customers significant time and money through automation. Automated donation processing alone saved 170 workdays, while automated event data processing saved another 136 workdays. This represents thousands of pounds in savings, freeing up valuable staff hours for mission-critical activities.
Additionally, by offering supporters the option to cover payment gateway processing fees during checkout, we enabled charities to receive the full intended gift amount without reductions. This approach saved our customers over £13,500 in fees, ensuring more funds went directly to the causes that matter.
Enhancing Donor Engagement and Stewardship
Improving donor retention and engagement has been a major focus for us in 2024. With our enhanced supporter stewardship features, many customers saw an average 8% reduction in lapsed donors compared to 2023.
We also introduced Express Checkout, making it easier than ever for supporters to give quickly and securely. This contributed to an average donation amount of £85 across hapi sites, with 75% of donors opting into Gift Aid, a rate that is 66% higher than the industry average.
In peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns, 100% of donors opted into Gift Aid, and 55% of supporters covered processing fees, saving charities an average of nearly £3,000 each.
Driving Data-Driven Decision Making
Data insights are key to smarter fundraising, and our Fundraising Fitness Test (FFT) has been instrumental. We welcomed 8 new FFT clients in 2024, processing over 29 million donations and 463,000 donors to date.
Through these efforts, we generated 194 custom FFT reports, helping charities gain insights into their donor base and fundraising strategies. Our analysis covered £2 billion worth of gifts, equipping non-profits with the knowledge they need to grow sustainably.
With the launch of Fundraising Fitness Test V2, we now deliver over 45 KPI insights per customer, enabling even deeper analysis and benchmarking.
Innovation and Growth
Innovation has been at the core of everything we do. This year, we rolled out 43 new features across hapi and hapiLite sites and launched a new API integration in partnership with Donorflex. A key highlight was a singular event where over 2,000 transactions were processed via the Donorflex API, saving 67 hours in admin time and £820 in costs, improving the NFPs event ROI.
Welcoming 3 new hapi customers and 2 new hapiLite clients in 2024 further validates our commitment and ability to help charities succeed. Our new Website Expansion Pack for hapiLite clients has allowed smaller charities to expand their digital presence without breaking the bank.
